New Serigraph! plus upcoming events!

Hi everybody,
Just finished with the Bellevue art festival, it was, well, a dud. I guess not every show can be a winner. I will be at the paddle from the 1st until the 7th, for those who know what that is there is really no need to get into it any further.
On the 8th and 9th I will have a booth at the Washington State History Museum in Tacoma as part of their annual “In The Spirit” art show that is currently on display at the museum. I have a photograph in this years show.
On August 15th I will be at Little Creek Casino for the Squaxin Island Tribe’s “Salmonfest”
Then on August 20-23 I will be in Santa Fe during the Indian art market. I will have a booth at the El Dorado Hotel but I’ll give more information on that show later since it is nearly a month away.
We are diving into t-shirts! they should be available after the first week of August we are starting with one design and then increasing as we can. I’ll get a picture of those up on the blog as soon as they come in.
Here is the latest Serigraph, it is titled “Walk in Beauty.”
The design is about self-reflection, because what we really wish for as human beings is to be happy. At the end of the day the things that really matter are our relationships. Our relationships with others, and our relationship with the earth. This design is a person in meditation thinking about how they have lived their life. The birds are messengers, carrying a prayer up to the heavens, the color blend in the background is sun-set indicating the perfect time for contemplation.
There are 50 in the “Walk In Beauty” series and they retail for 120 dollars. If you are interested in getting one you get 20 bucks off from now until the end of August if you mention the blog in your e-mail.
Thanks for reading hope you are enjoying your summer wherever you happen to be. Take Carewalk-in-beauty1

Bellevue Festival of the Arts. Date: July 24, 2009 − July 26, 2009. Location: Cost Plus World Market

Hi everybody! I hope your summer is going well and this post finds you in good health.
It was nice to see so many of you these last couple of weeks, lets keep it up. This weekend I will be at the Bellevue Festibal of the Arts. Like I have posted before I haven’t done this even in the past, and honestly haven’t even attended it so I have no idea what to expect but many people have told me it is a remarkable event and a lot of fun, with wonderful artists. So I would love to see you there. I’m putting the finishing touches on a couple of serigraphs so I might have as many as 4 new ones ready for Bellevue. You will have to opportunity to see them there first.
I will be posting a couple of artists profiles pretty soon. These will be artists who I urge you to support because they are not only good artists and people but also because they do so much for their community, and give so much of themselves. Those posts will be coming soon along with images of their work and ways to contact them for purchases.
That’s about all right now, take care and enjoy the summer weather.

Upcoming Events!

Alright, the busy summer season is upon us. You have to absolutely love the weather we have been having, not too hot not too cold, as Goldy-Locks would say it’s just right.
There are a number of upcoming events that I plan on being at. At least 7 between now and the end of August. I will have new work that I will be showing at these events, I might not even have a chance to blog about them before I make them available. I know one piece that a lot of people have been asking for is an otter. Well, I have one in the works and it should be completed by the end of the month. I also have a large salmon piece, a small salmon piece, and a couple more that I hope to have finished as well.
Next Week starting Tuesday July 14th I will be at the Tulalip Casino for the Northwest Indian Gaming Association’s convention. You don’t have to be part of the convention to stop by. If you haven’t been to Tulalip’s casino it is really an amazing facility and you should stop by even if all you do is look at the incredible artwork everywhere.
Next weekend starting Friday July 17th I will be at Discovery Park in Seattle for the 24th Annual Seafair Indian Days POW WOW! July 17-19, 2009. I’ll have my booth setup on the lower level by the pow wow arena, it’s a good family activity and you should come out and have a good time. Here is a link to their website:
