New Serigraph! Breach

breach

Last Saturday I conducted a printing demo at the Steinbrueck Native Gallery in Seattle. This is the serigraph I printed, it was a popular piece. I printed fifty in the series. The serigraph measures 11×15 inches and retails for $100

The design is an orca breeching, the original design was created for a private collector who wanted a metal orca for her exterior entryway. I made a few changes to the design for the serigraph. It was quite an experience printing in front of a large number of people and without a lot of equipment that I have come to rely upon. I really wished I could have had my print rack there but other wise all was smooth. For those of you who were there, thank you. For those who purchased a copy thank you too. I hope you enjoy it.

Upcoming Event, Snoqualmie Casino.

Hi everybody. Before I start on the upcoming event I wanted to share a short story with you. A short while ago someone bought a couple of serigraphs off the website without ever having seen them in person or ever having met me or seen the art in person. That in itself is a little unusual but of course I was very happy about that. I packaged and sent the serigraphs off without ever expecting to hear from them. About a week after I sent the serigraphs this person called me up saying they had arrived in good condition and they thanked me for how good they thought they looked. I was truly touched by this small act of kindness. So I wanted to publicly say Thank You to that person. I also want to say Thank You to everyone out there who has supported me through the years and I hope you continue to enjoy the work.
OK enough of the touchy feely stuff. On to business. I’ve been invited to the Snoqualmie Casino’s Paddle art show on May 3rd. It is a short show only one day from 1 to 6. I haven’t been to the casino yet it is fairly new and this will be my first time so we’ll see how it goes.

Upcoming Event! Printing Demonstration on the 25th at Steinbrueck Gallery

Hi Everyone, I will be doing a printmaking demonstration at the Steinbrueck Gallery in Seattle on Saturday the 25th. I think I will actually be doing two prints on that day, they will actually be available for sale! So if you have any interest in how the serigraphs are created and want to look at other really great work from incredible Northwest Native Artists you might want to stop by on the 25th. I will be there all day from about noon until sometime in the evening. Here is a link to their website:

they are a great gallery and one you should stop by and see if you are ever in the Seattle Area.

Three new serigraphs!

Hi everybody! I have three new serigraphs available.

ravens-eye

The first one is called “Raven’s Eye” and is about 20 inches by 8 or something like that, contact me for the exact dimensions. It was designed as a rough guardian figure that is meant to be hung in a place that sees the comings and goings of people like above a door or entryway.

flock-together

The second one is called “Flock

together” it is a continuation on the idea which was begun with the original painting “Birds of a Feather” which incidentally is now on display at the Stonington Gallery in Seattle as part

of their upcoming young artists show. How many different birds can you find in this image. I honestly don’t know how many I hid in there I just kept trying to hide more and more.

turbidity1

Finally the third one is my favorite of the bunch. It is called “Turbidity”. As you can see there are several fish in this design, they are having fun in cold, clean, turbid waters. I was really interested in creating a salmon design in this particular style. Look for a couple more designs to come in this fluid style.

As far as prices go. Raven’s eye is $50.00

the other two are $100 each and they measure 15 x 11 inches.
