Thank You!

Little Creek was fun. I enjoyed seeing several of you. In fact a couple of you traveled quite some distance just to check out the artwork, I can’t tell you how humbling that is. Thank you very much I appreciate it.
I’m in the process of getting ready for the Heard show in March. It is just around the corner. I hope to have several new serigraphs to offer. Two already have ink on the paper and several more are drawn up and waiting for the prep work. I wish there were more hours in the day to get all the work done. You’ll see pictures of each piece here first and will have first dibs if you want to purchase any.
One more item of business. We are now officially out of the serigraph titled “Hierarchy” it is the tall crab one. We still have about five or ten dynasty serigraphs available but those will probably go sometime this year. If you have been thinking about getting one send me an e-mail and we’ll discuss it.
Once again thanks, and I hope all is well with everyone.
take care

Finally have a new serigraph finished!

It’s been a while (since last July) but I finally finished a new serigraph. We moved to University Place and with it my studio moved. I had no idea how hard it would be to move my studio. I thought it would just be moving some equipment, and I’d be good to go. No, not so fast. I forgot how much custom stuff I had done to my old studio. I had to re-do all of that and then some. All of this while moving the house and going to law school. So long story, short it took a few months to get up and running, but here we go. It will be available for sale this weekend. I’ll have a few at Little Creek Casino over the weekend. The price will be 120 per serigraph. It is a series of 50, and the size is 11 x 15 inches. There are many more serigraphs in the works and I’ll get those on the blog when they come up, and up on the website when I can. Take Care, hope to see you at Little Creek this weekend.

Thanks for those of you who picked up this serigraph over the weekend. It was a popular piece.

Artist Profile, Andrew Dexel

Andrew is a young artist out of BC Canada. He primarily paints on canvas, but also works in other media. His work is considered contemporary, using strong Coast Salish elements, bold colors, and strong designs. Dexel represents a new type of Salish Art. Andrew is a friend of mine. I traded with him last summer. I have a triptych of his hanging in my house and it is one of my prized art pieces. If you would like to see some of his work; check out pictures here:

Artist Profile: Lois Boome

I was thinking about the artist profile blog when it hit me like a ton of bricks. Duh! I really should profile the artist who I see every day and who has the biggest impact on me, my wife. She is a tremendous artist in her own right. Her medium is photography, she is the one who does vast majority of photography of my work as well as sets up and maintains the website. She has her own website which I urge you to visit.
www.malenarose.com
The website is mostly dedicated to wedding and event photography. Stop by and look at her galleries, I’m sure you will be impressed.
