Santa Fe
Thank you Midwest! Upnext Prescott Arizona
Just got back from the hot and humid tour. It was great. Red Earth was a lot of fun, met some wonderful people and made some new good friends. I’ll be profiling a couple artists on this site soon. Indianapolis was wonderful, the folks at the Eiteljorg are top notch, they really take care of you and are genuinely nice people. It’s a great museum with high quality work, if you ever visit Indy, or live in the area, stop by and check out the museum you’ll love it.
Up next is the Prescott Indian Art market July10th -11th in Prescott Arizona. Here is a link:

I haven’t done this event before and might actually be the first Northwest Coastal artist to have done it, they already told me I am the first Salish Artist they have ever had. I am looking forward to being there, I know several of the artists who are going to be there and they are wonderfully talented folks with top notch art. It should be a good event.
After Prescott I’ll be at Daybreak Star in Seattle for the annual Seafair Pow Wow July 16th-18th followed by the Canoe Journey in Neah Bay for a week.
Here are the links for those events:

I don’t want to get too far ahead of myself but I will also be at the Washington State History Museum in August for the Annual “In the Spirit” art market, and then off the Santa Fe for Indian Market. I’ll blog more about those events later.
Finally I thought I’d put up two pictures of my booth, one from Red Earth, the from Eiteljorg. Take Care Everyone, have a wonderful summer.

Upcoming Events
Hi Everyone, it’s a slow time of year for art markets and busy time of year for school so I haven’t blogged in a while. I recently received word about two shows that I have been accepted in. I was accepted into the Red Earth Show in June in Oklahoma City. It will be my first time participating in that event so I am excited about it. I also found out I was accepted into Into the Indian art Market in Santa Fe New Mexico in August. If you are interested in either of these events let me know. There are a few other events that I am waiting on confirmation on whether I was accepted or not, and I’ll post those as they come in.
A new T-shirt and some thoughts
So the Heard was good on the first day, on the second day there was rain, lots and lots of rain, normally that wouldn’t bother me since well I’m from Washington and in case you didn’t know it rains here from time to time. Unfortunately it doesn’t rain as often in Phoenix and people simply aren’t used to it. Needless to say Sunday’s turnout was less than what I had hoped. I want to thank those of you who braved the rain and stopped by anyway.
As far as upcoming events I don’t have anything to report for a while. I applied to two shows that are coming up in the summer. The only two I know for certain that I will be attending are the Eiteljorg in June and I’ll be at the El Dorado Hotel during Indian art Market in Santa Fe in August. I know these aren’t he only show I will be attending this year and will update the blog when I get confirmation on other shows.
I do have a new t-shirt that we printed up. It is a frog green on green. We only have a limited number as we are trying them out to see how they go, if you are interested I’ll try to get a picture up sometime soon.
If you know of any shows which might want a Salish artist let me know. As always take care
Next Up the Heard!
Join Me at the Heard Museum in Phoenix March 6th and 7th. I’ll be bringing a huge selection of my serigraphs as well as a couple drums. Stop by and say Hi. I love to see each and every one on you.
The Tulsa Indian Art Festival was fun. I love going to new places and seeing new people. One of the things I love about traveling through Indian Country is seeing different Tribal customs and traditions. It was great to experience new things in Tulsa. Up next is the Heard Museum. This year I’ll be in the same spot as the last two years. Area 0 space 9. next to the back entrance way. I have several new works for this year and hope for a couple more before the market starts. It’s going to be a great show they say over 700 artists will be there. These are the best of the best, if you like Indian art you really shouldn’t miss this event. The artists who participate in the Heard are world class regardless of genre. Some of the very best painters, potters, jewelers, and others are there. I haven’t been able to see them all yet, I could easily spend all three days just looking at the wonderful work that is available. Well worth the trip. I hope to see you there. Take Care
Upcoming Events
Hi Everyone
It seems like time is just flying by. I have two events coming up. The 1st one I’d like to mention is the Tulsa Indian arts Festival in Tulsa Oklahoma Feb 12, 13, 14, at the Spirit Bank Event Center. I haven’t participated in this event in the past and am looking forward to seeing what the art market in Tulsa is like. If you know anyone in the area send them down I’d love to see them.
here is their website:
http://www.tulsaindianartfestival.com/
The 2nd event is not an art market but a great chance to see a large amount of my work on display. Feb 4th we are going to have an event (maybe two) showcasing my work. The event will be held at the University of Washington School of Law. The work will be on display in the hall of the main floor. I think the display will be up for about ten weeks or so, so you will have plenty of time to see it. I’ll post a picture when the display is up. If you have any questions about the work on display feel free to e-mail me. Take Care Everyone
